A Few Words
Palatia is an impressive café-restaurant open from April through October. Set on the beach at the Ayia Anna resort-village, it offers a unique view of the sea. Palatia is ideal for a hearty breakfast, lunch, romantic dinner, or any business or family meal. The restaurant’s unforgettable hospitality is complemented by the surroundings’ Cycladic décor which sets the stage for the menu. The restaurant aims to preserve the cuisine of Naxos as well as that of the Cyclades through its exclusive use of high-quality local ingredients in its dishes. These include lobster with spaghetti, fresh fish on the grill, sun-dried fish (gouna), stuffed calamari, marinated anchovy, rooster in tomato sauce, pork rosto (a traditional dish from the village of Apeiranthos), goat with lemon sauce, eggplant cooked in a clay pot, fresh salads, and a selection of wines from Naxos and the neighboring isles of Paros and Santorini. Desserts include spoon sweets made with fruit from the restaurant owners’ orchard and a syrup-soaked walnut cake with a scoop of ice cream.
