A Few Words
Welcome to “Locanda – Demenagas”, Hellenic restaurant! The owner of the restaurant, Eleftherios Demenagas, promises you a warm welcome with a company that will transfer you into culinary dreams, found only in the old recipes and flavours of our grandmother, ingredients and quality of local products, bathed in sunlight, watered by the saltiness of Mediterranean sea and the enduring power of Aeolus. We wish you “Bon Appetite” and a “Pleasant Stay” in this wonderful spot of the world, the island of the Knights, Rhodes. We prepare a variety of plates and change our menu constantly so that to allow our frequents clients to taste as much from our greek cuisine. Every day we offer a different menu list that includes soups, stews, wood-oven dishes, oven dishes, fried and grilled meals. Depending on weather conditions (e.g. in low temperatures, in rainy days, in sunshine) we have a) in cold days: beans, chicken soup, beef soup, fish soup, dishes with red sauces and stews, b) in sunny days: dishes with white sauces, veloute, artichokes, fricassee e.t.c. We cook always depending the season and the vegetables produced. On a daily basis, from April to September, we have stuffed tomatoes and peppers, zucchini with egg and lemon sauce, stuffed vine leaves called yalantzi, moussaka, pastitsio, okra and briam. Our daily dishes, all year round, are: rooster with pasta, beef stew with pasta or vegetables, smyrna meatballs, roast pork, knuckle of pork in the oven, steamed mussels or rice with mussels, fried or grilled shrimps or spaghetti with shrimps, variety of fish. On the grill we always have steaks, seftalies, souvlaki, chicken and liver. There is also a variety of appetizers-starters. The desserts are homemade and are mainly: baklava, kataifi, saraglakia, galaktoboureko and sweets with season fruits.
