Skala Restaurant is located in one of the beautiful Old captain's houses in Oia. With a front 3 level courtyard and rooftop terrace overlooking baxzedes and neighbouring islands. Guests who choose to sit on the seaward side of Skala can have a fabulous view of the caldera of Santorini.

Skala is regarded as authentic in its name of 30 years here in Oia and includes Greek specialties, like moussaka baked in a clay pot , beef stew and "Yemista" tomato & bell pepper stuffed with rice. Other Mediterranean delicacies, like grilled calamari stuffed with graviera cheese, tomato and fresh herbs as well as seafood pasta or daily catch fresh fishes are also a part of the menu. Popular among the mezedes served at the Skala are fried tomato balls , marinated cod fish strips served with zucchini and fresh herbs, fresh steamed mussels and fava beans.

The dessert selection includes the traditional sweet called Baklava and Ravani. Other favourite sweets are the chocolate cake and Skala's house ice cream. One of the oldest restaurants in Oia where locals and visitors return to for the lovely atmosphere and excellent choice of menu catering to all age groups at prices that caters to the needs of everyone.

The place is owned by Stavros Sigalas and Christos Markozanis and is open all through the week from 12 noon to midnight.
