A Few Words
The Mediterranean restaurant “Prego” of Mr Stavros Choullis was established at 2007 and is located at the breathtaking area of Massouri at the island of Kalymnos. At it’s beautiful terrace, which sits up to 100 persons, you can enjoy a variety of plates from Greece and the Mediterranean. In the perspective of using only Greek and local products from the Dodecanese, at Prego one can find… fried Feta cheese wrapped in”filo” pastry and drizzled with pure Kalymnian thyme honey, Bruschetti with Kalymnian goat cheese spread, Grilled “Talagani” cheese accompanied with sweet tomato maramalade from Kos island, Ceviche from smoked White Tuna fished and smoked by Kalymnian fishermen, Paella flavoured with “Kroko Kozanis” ( saffron produced at Kozani, North Greece), Green Ravioli filled with fresh “Mizithra” cheese( like ricotta) from Astypalaia island, Fresh Seabream fished by Kalymnian fishermen with herb pesto and vegetables, ovenbaked in cooking paper. As the Chef , Mr Stavros Choullis, used to work as a sou-chef at an Italian orientated hotel at Rhodes for a long period of years, he has gained a great experience in the Italian cuisine. Must try the divine Sea Urchin spaghetti , a 5 star dish you cannot miss. Wide selection of pasta as well as Pizza, baked in the traditional wood-oven. Live the ultimate tasting experience with classic dishes from Greece such as, Seafood “Giouvetsi”, Ovenbaked Aubergine filled with Beef stew and Graviera cheese, Mousaka prepared the traditional way with yogurt and cheese instead of béchamel sauce, Tuna filet with caper tomato sauce, Lamb Kleftiko baked in cooking paper with vegetables and a blend of Greek cheeses, Octopus stew …Moreover taste the notorious Piri-Piri chicken, Juicy Kebabs with tabouleh and raita , the succulent Hünkar beğendi and other plates from the Meditarranean that will stir up your pallet . Desserts at Prego are highly honoured and cannot be recommended enough!
