A Few Words
Yemeni is a refreshing addition to the Naoussa dining scene, having opened this year. Rather than a updated version of the taverna, Yemeni bucked the trend and opened as a n authentic oenomagireio, a traditional eatery known for its simple hearty fare and good wine.
‘Yemeni’ means headscarf and while the word has Turkish roots it is widely used on Paros, especially in folk songs.
The menu at Yemeni features traditional recipes, lovingly prepared with fine ingredients, mostly from the owners’ own produce, as well as Paros and eastern-inspired sweets prepared by Mario Zoumis.
Yemeni offers a simple, spare setting that is also welcoming and comfortable. Background music reflecting all the Greek genres adds to the setting.
The restaurant is open from 12:30 pm daily.
